Chamonix village is a one of a kind town with the legendary Monte Bianco and tumbling glaciers. We enjoy going canyoning or sometimes eating out. I usually catch a plane from Ypsilanti and stay at a Chamonix luxury catered chalet for the duration of my stay.

Avila Beach is a small village located two and a half miles west of US 101. Hotel amenities include the pool and spa, exercise room, and restaurant and lounge. The hotel also offers laundry facilities, video rentals, and access to an 18-hole championship golf course.
On the other hand in Chamonix France the chalet is invariably good. Likewise eating out in our favorite hotel restaurant, Dairy Queen of Wrightsville, scoffing chocolate almond coffee is a pleasure. Chamonix is a large enough destination to guarantee that there is lots for the tourist to do. Amongst other things it includes a casino and a range of terraced caf©s, Chamonix offers a combination of climbing, French alpine charm and sightseeing which not many French ski resorts can match.
