Naveen Jain’s Philanthropic Background
The successful information technology entrepreneur is best known as the co-establisher and chief executive officer of Intelius, an information-based business based in Bellevue, Washington. Aside from being a listee of Forbes Magazine’s 400 Richest Persons in America in 2000, he was also a recipient of the following awards: the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, and the WSA Industry Achievement Award. However, despite these acknowledgements, he is also very much inclined to philanthropy, which he gives his spare time to.
Some of the focuses of his humanitarian work lies in the youth, who he firmly believes in. Thus, he has contributed his time, whenever possible, with institutions like the University Preparatory Academy, the Rotary Club, and the University of Washington. Also, Naveen Jain has supported the Seattle Children’s Hospital, which helps assure that children get the proper health care.
It is no wonder that another center of his philanthropic efforts is education because this Intelius president owes so much of his success to the knowledge he gained from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, the institution he graduated from. Shortly after graduating, he attended Xavier School in Jamshedpur India for his Master’s degree. Thus, a few of the many education-related foundations that he and his company have endowed to are United Way, Child Rights and You (CRY), and the Indian American Education Foundation.
Feeding the hunger-stricken is an addition to the numerous endeavors undertaken by Naveen Jain and Intelius. Although this task is a heavy one to bear, he believes that it is possible to end world hunger if all would just give even just a little of their time to do so.
Truly, he is one who has his priorities well planned. As a result, he is considered a remarkable individual and a genuine supporter of his community.
